COHEN HOSTS FIRST RESPONDERS FOR ESSENTIAL SKILLS TRAINING

Cohen is proud to host members of the West Carrollton Fire Department and neighboring departments at our West Carrollton recycling center on an annual basis for a type of training that we’re uniquely suited for!

The training takes first responders through a range of possible vehicle-related incidents and gives them real-world practice with tools and techniques used to save lives.

Captain Josh Whitehead of WCFD says, “We have access to vehicles, trucks, and cars, and space for us to do it here. We can run through any scenario that we can think of that we could see out the in the real world. It takes our training level to newer heights. I can’t overstate how much this training means to us and how appreciative we are.”

Cohen is appreciative, too, of any opportunity we’re afforded to give back and be a resource to the communities around us, for more than just recycling. Keep scrolling for a short video showing firefighters practicing rescue techniques on scrap cards!
