HOLIDAY LIGHTS RECYCLING EVENT

The largest lights drop-off in the region!

THE 2023-24 HOLIDAY LIGHTS RECYCLING EVENT HAS WRAPPED UP

Each winter, Cohen partners with local organizations for our annual holiday lights recycling event to make it simple for area residents to recycle their unwanted or non-working decorative lights. Did you miss the event? You can still recycle your lights at a Cohen Recycling Center, any time of year. We are open Monday-Friday 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. (closed on holidays).

WHAT WE RECYCLE

All kinds of string lights are accepted during this event, including traditional and LED-style bulbs. Other electric holiday yard decorations, such as a projector or the motor on an inflatable character, may be recycled at a Cohen Recycling Center – visit the Find a Location page and call ahead for more information on recycling these items.

LIGHTS ONLY:

No BOXES, BAGS, or batteries

You can help streamline the recycling process by including ONLY lights (no other recyclables or scrap), removing any batteries, and taking your boxes, bags and other containers back with you.

While Cohen can and does recycle other electronics, wires, and batteries, string lights must be processed separately. Putting household electronics and especially batteries in with your lights could create a safety risk for our staff. Please consider taking them to a Cohen Recycling Center instead.

We appreciate your help!
