Beginning Monday, June 29, our business hours are 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday. This applies to all locations except for Dayton, Washington Court House, and Cincinnati (Kellogg), which remain closed until further notice.
In accordance with guidance from government leadership and the CDC, Cohen has implemented new procedures at our retail drive-thrus and drop-off points to ensure, as much as possible, a safe and low-touch transaction between our employees and our customers. Staff and signs at each location will direct you through this process.
Where possible, we are limiting traffic to one car in the drive-thru at a time. Please observe the signage at the yard to direct you where to wait and where to unload. Our staff will also be available to guide you.
Customers are to remain in their vehicles unless actively unloading. No more than one person may be outside of the vehicle at a time. Customers shall also remain in their vehicle if cans are their only material to recycle.
When unloading, place your material on the scale, along with your ID and any required documentation. Step back to the marked waiting area when finished to allow the operator to clear the scale. Your material and weight will be recorded and sent to the cashier station. (Ferrous material will be called in once unloaded.)
Limiting the flow of traffic to ensure safety could result in longer-than-usual wait times during our busiest hours. We appreciate your patience as we do everything we can to provide excellent service in these circumstances.
Please observe posted signage and floor markings to allow distance between yourself and others. Each location is taking appropriate measures based on the available space. Some may only be able to have one customer inside at a time.
To minimize exchanging materials between employees and customers, we ask that you do not provide your scale ticket as usual. The cashier will have received the information from the scale. You will still need to present your ID.
We ask that all customers wear a mask or face covering while doing business with us. All employees who are in contact with customers are required to wear masks. We have implemented strict sanitary protocols for our employees regarding hand-washing, cleaning of surfaces, and contact between employees.
Please join us in observing the recommended 6 feet of physical distance between people in all areas of our facilities.
Cohen Recycling employees reserve the right to decline service to any customer who does not observe these guidelines or respond to directions. Your cooperation is appreciated.
