Transportation — CDL Drivers Always Needed!

Cohen has an immediate and ongoing need for CDL drivers at all of our locations. Cohen drivers do much more than drive. Although that's an important part of the job, being the face of our company to our customers is your primary role. You're the person they see week after week. You'll develop strong relationships with our customers that create value and trust. The variety of tasks you'll perform on each route will ensure you're never bored. You'll deliver and unload products safely and on-time to multiple stops each route.

General Labor

Responsibilities include

  • Assist in unloading customer scrap and sorting various metal materials
  • Transport material within facility with a Bobcat, forklift, or loader

Electronics Dismantle Technician

Cohen has several openings at Cobalt, our electronic scrap recycling division. This is an entry level, general labor position that starts at $14 per hour. This allows you to get your foot in the door at one of the most advanced recycling centers in the country. This is where all non-salvageable electronics are disassembled and sorted into their component parts. Usually this process is done by hand with the proper tools to complete the tasks. No advanced experience or electronics knowledge is necessary — just come with the proper work ethic and attitude.

This is our proving ground for those looking to get promoted to the next level. We like everyone coming into our electronics scrap business to start from ground up. After your 90-day probationary period, contingent on performance, you have many other options to move within the organization.

Mechanics and Electricians

With 20+ locations, hundreds of pieces of equipment and 70+ trucks in our fleet, our skilled labor positions are incredibly important. That’s why Cohen is always looking for good people to join our team of experienced mechanics and electricians.

AUTO MECHANIC

In this position, you will help maintain our fleet of trucks – whether it be our tractor trailers, or our company vehicles – to make sure they are roadworthy and safe for our employees to operate. Our team of dedicated mechanics perform everything from routine maintenance to complex automotive and diesel repairs. A reliable self-starter with minimum one year of mechanic experience is sought for this position.

HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC

This mechanic will diagnose, troubleshoot and repair specialized heavy equipment, including excavators, material handling equipment and attachments. Other responsibilities could include diesel and hydraulic repairs, welding and fabrication, electrical, magnet and generator repairs.

The ideal candidate:

  • is familiar with hydraulic/pneumatic and mechanical blueprints
  • possesses a complete set of mechanics tools (required)
  • demonstrates an ability to handle multiple tasks at once.

ELECTRICIAN

With so many locations to maintain, there’s rarely a dull moment for our electrical team as they repair and upgrade our electrical systems company-wide. For this position, we are seeking a candidate with 3-5 years of experience as a commercial or industrial electrician and possesses their own set of hand tools for electrical work.

Additional requirements:

  • Ability to work overtime
  • Ability to work in adverse climate conditions
  • Familiar with 3 phase systems of 240v and 480v
  • Verification of Electrical Education and Experience
